Angelina Cayabyab

Angelina is a unique talent with skills spanning law, business, innovation and public health. She excelled with the highest mark earning a distinction through a Master of Public Health at UC Berkeley. Through the same program, she created an ArcGIS Map and got it used as an example for future Berkeley classes. Leveraging her background in innovation, she won a hackathon and through her legal tech startup, she is backed by Silicon Valley Tech Futures Group and NSF I-Corps Northwest. With her versatile skill set, Angelina is uniquely positioned to lead and shape partnerships at the intersection of law, business, innovation, public health and technology, making her a valuable asset for forward-thinking organizations.

I am grateful that I had the chance to be teammates with Angelina for Everyone's Business Case Competition organized by USC and UBS. Angelina is a very dedicated person. She did not quit even through she had a fever. Lucky for us, she got better before the competition. Her public speech skills are very impressive. She can talk about anything and will captivate everyone's attention as a leader that she is. I look forward to work with her in the future!

Angelina is extremely passionate and dedicated about healthcare. She cares about the health and well-being of her community and is very committed to pursuing her goals of improving healthcare laws. She aspires to make healthcare policies as accessible and inclusive as possible for everyone. Angelina is also an effective communicator and works well in a group. She is warm and friendly and will always make sure the group has everything they need to succeed Angelina started the Transfer Student Alliance, the first transfer student club at California State University, Northridge. The club helps facilitate transfer students into CSUN to make their experience easier. It aims to create a safe space so all transfer students can have the resources they need, as well as create a community for socializing. With the Transfer Student Alliance, Angelina strives to make sure all students, including transfer students, feel welcomed at the university.

I met Angelina while we were mentees at LegalEEE, a legal mentoring program designed to provide support for aspiring attorneys. As I got to know Angelina more, I started seeing how smart and passionate she is about inequality in the health care system. She is so focused on learning more and educating her peers about America's health care system. I strongly believe that her education at UC Davis would strengthen her advocacy for equality in the health care system.
